Toowoomba Six-2-Six Rally
Published on 3/18/2026
Fifty years after the first running of this event, it has been revived by collabortation between the Darling Downs Veteran and Vintage Motor Club and HMCCQ (DDVVMC) Toowoomba.
The Toowoomba based riders were joined by visitors from other HMCCQ Areas such as Brisbane, Warwick and Ipswich. Some stayed in Toowoomba the night before while others dropped in for the day as the format lends itself to those who can get there when they can, do a group ride or three and head home. For those staying over, the full day format is ideal with something happening all day and varied ride terrain. It is a great way to see what the area has to offer.
The format is a one-day six ride one, the first ride departing at 6:30 a.m. This plan suits both those staying in the area for a night or two, as well as visiting riders for a day trip.
The organisation was professional and the facilities five star. The DDVVMC certainly have developed a world class property complete with multiple workshops, meeting rooms and catering facilities. This event is a model that should be looked at for future rallies. Thanks to the Toowoomba area for standing this one up and huge thanks to Dave Grant and team from the DDVVMC
