GOLD COAST AREA

The Gold Coast Area (GCA) is relatively new to HMCCQ, forming in June 2023. Starting with only four people, we are growing quickly and now boast around 110 members. On average 30 historic bike enthusiasts attend our regular events, our monthly meetings are friendly and informal, and we welcome visitors and potential new members.
As we grow, we intend organising other events that will attract historic motorcyclists from across the HMCCQ areas as well as enthusiasts from northern NSW. We also support other local events such as the annual DGR “Distinguished Gentlemen’s Ride” and have our own spot each year at the Saturday “Cooley Rocks On” Show and Shine in Goodwin Park, Coolangatta. Our main objective is to build a membership comparable with the other larger HMCCQ areas.

Meetings

Monthly meetings are held on the 1st Wednesday of the month (excluding January) at the Currumbin RSL at 6.00pm.  

Rides

We have 2 regular rides during the week. These run every Tuesday and Thursday leaving from The Man on the Bike at Tallebudgera with stands up at 9.30am sharp. Get there earlier for a chin wag and catch up.

 

We also have an official Club ride on the Sunday directly after our Wednesday meeting each month. This ride leaves from the Man on the Bike at Tallebudgera with stands up at 9.30am sharp.

 

For anyone on Club Plates (SIVS) The rides are registered here on the HMCCQ Website as well as on our Facebook Group Page. This includes a Mud Map of the course we will take should you want to pick us up along the way.

 

By invitation we do welcome non-members to attend up to three rides with us for their due diligence sake, however after that we do prefer you then become a financial HMCCQ Member.

Non-profit

We are a non-profit organisation, and our sole source of income is from regular Bunnings Sausage Sizzles at Bunnings West Burleigh.
