It was a great turn out for the HMCCQ Combined Area's Breakfast Run to Hays Landing at Wivenhoe Dam on Sunday 11th Jan2026. Over 230 Motorcycle's braved the heat of the New Year.
2 Veteran Triumph's, a Veteran Ariel, a Vintage Rudge and a lot of Post Vintage, Classic and Modern Motorcycle's amongst them.
One of the great things that all areas organise are rides during the week. They cater for all types of bikes and vary in both the length and destination. The ride usually has a coffee shop or cafe as the destination where there is always conversation about any topic. Though bikes seem to be always discussed.

Have a look at the Events Calendar for the upcoming rides and come along.
This year the tour had 14 riders in total riding 870km
over four days.

Woodenbong, Murwillumbah stopping at Mullumbimby.
Day two (330km) Lismore, Casino, Tenterfield stopping at Texas.
Day three (160km) Texas, Inglewood, Greenup, Stanthorpe.
Day four (120km) Stanthorpe for Warwick
The 2025 tour was most enjoyable and along the way with some lost items, breakdowns, and lost riders. Another great ride and a great adventure was had by all involved.
The Centurion Run has been conducted for 26 years. Its name is from the combined age of the bike and rider. A rider who is 55 years old on a 45 year old bike is considered a centurion. However all bikes and riders are welcome irrespective of the combined age.
The run featured two routes, one for the older bikes and riders who preferred a shorter, flatter course (short run) and one for those riders who were a little more adventurous and didn’t mind a longer course over a little hillier terrain. (long run).

A very special moment this year was the attendance of four club members (pictured) with a bike and rider age combination of 200 years plus making this event the first ‘double centurion’ run! This is a truly remarkable achievement for these members who were each presented with a special ‘200 year certificate’ to a very warm reception from all those attending on the day.
The start of the Dalby Dirt Rally was the Cooyar Show grounds. A great line of bikes with all the Japanese brands along with Greeves, Can Am, Husqvarna and Bultaco. A few showers of rain were dodged as the riders made their way through Googa and back to Mt Binga.
The Gold Miners’ Rally held in early October, at Imbil. The 11 attendees enjoyed 180 kms. of black top on the Sunday with a field stop at the halfway point of hot beverage and a huge selection of pastries. Saturday, the day of arrival for most, offered short rides around the area with a visit to Borumba Dam. The top prize going to the oldest rider on his girder fork, keeping abreast with the newer machines but managing to run out of fuel two thirds from base. A prize for the furthest travelled went to a Northern Rivers rider, he rode up and back with his swag.
The weather reports did not look too promising leading up to the event held at Jimna. A bit of discussion between the organisers and it was decided to go anyway. Saturday was wet and slippery, but a lot of fun, 25 riders took off, showcasing skills only seen in mud wrestling, but with dirt bikes.
On Saturday afternoon, a few opted to tackle some challenging single-track hill climbs which when you reverse it makes for some fun downhill action.
The number and quality of the 115 bikes on display was off the scale at the Canungra Showgrounds.
Thanks go to the Palen Creek inmates assigned to help, a big pat on the back to all our members for the selfless effort in the setup then backing up on the day, manning entry gates, unloading bikes, aiding food vendors and swap entries. Thanks to the Scenic Rim Cadets manning the carpark duties and then helping with the fence removal and storage at the end of the big day.
Some 60 riders and marshals attended the annual Tiddlers & Twoies Fun Day, hosted by Pine Rivers Area on the King’s Birthday public holiday.
This event continues to grow in popularity since it was introduced as the Stinkwheel Rally about 30 years ago. It was originally exclusively for two-stroke bikes but was expanded to include any small capacity machine up to 200cc. The result is a wide and interesting mix of motorcycles. This year, marques included BSA Bantam, Ducati, Francis Barnett, Yamaha, Bultaco, MZ, Honda, Suzuki and Adler.
A combined ride took everyone through the twisty back roads of Draper and Bunya to Bullocky’s Rest on the shores of Lake Samsonvale
Then a short ride around Narangba was specifically tailored for the tiddlers (total 70km). The faster two-stroke riders enjoyed the scenic and fairly straightforward roads to Lacey’s Creek, west of Dayboro (total 120km).
